Hi, my name is Anton.
I was born in Kazakhstan, then spent more than twenty years living and working across the United States, Singapore, and Malaysia before coming back home. Now I'm a private tour guide based in Almaty, leading small groups and solo travelers through Charyn Canyon, Temirlik Canyon, Kaindy Lake, the Kolsai Lakes, and Altyn-Emel National Park. Many of the travelers I've guided have become lifelong friends.
This isn't just a profession for me. These landscapes shaped my childhood, then waited for me through twenty years away, and now they shape the future of my children too. That's why I guide with intention: traveling lightly, respecting the land, and sharing the stories — including a few of my own — that live in these places.
If you're looking for a private tour from Almaty that feels personal, sincere, and rooted in real connection — not a group bus with 30 strangers — I'd be honored to guide you.
The name Arna Jol comes from the Kazakh — arna, the channel a river finds through the earth; jol, the road. A journey that doesn't force its way, but follows the natural path. That's how we travel.

Most tours from Almaty pack five destinations into a single day and rush you past the very things you came to see. I work differently — every private tour I design is built around your pace, your interests, and the places that genuinely reward slower attention.
Whether you're an expat living in Almaty looking for a weekend escape, or a traveler visiting Kazakhstan for the first time, I'll help you experience this region in a way no group tour can offer.
